Affordable Mexican food. Great place to get in and get out and be happy with your time/money spent. Some of the best free chips and salsa. They have some good deals for margaritas as well.

my review is also way overdue. I moved to Logan in February and I usually order from here once a week. Not only is the food great and reasonably priced but the staff is friendly and location is convenient (atleast for me). Be sure to order ahead on tuesdays & weekends as they do receive a lot of orders!

We go to Moran pretty regularly, and this review is way over due. I cannot explain to you how amazing Moran's food is- from breakfast, to tacos, to less popular dishes, their food is always on point. I especially love their Al Pastor and refuse to eat any other taco now, but I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered from them. They are truly a neighborhood gem. Most recently, we used them for our COVID backyard wedding, and the owner, Pepe, went above and beyond to make our experience great. He personally delivered to us even though we know he was short staffed, and fulfilled every one of our wishes to try and keep our family safe while we were celebrating. The food was AMAZING as usual. So much so that some of our guests went to eat at Moran again the next day because they couldn't stop craving it (I think they are Moran converts now). Wonderful neighborhood spot, GREAT food, and even better people.

I ordered from this restaurant after reading all the great reviews of how good the food is, how authentic and good price. Was excited for my food to come so I can taste some of that goodness... UNFORTUNATELY, I've had better.. There wasn't anything special about the food.. It was MEH! I ordered the normal 3 taco dinner. I eat Mexican food a lot and I've ordered the 3 taco dinner from NUMEROUS different Mexican restaurants, so I know what good tacos taste like and these weren't that tasty. I was disappointed bc I expected them to be great . It's not bad, just MEH.

Always quick with service and delicious burritos and tacos. Some of the best in the city. And convenient since it’s right under the California train stop.

Best Mexican food I've had in my 3 years in Chicago.

Tucked away right under the blue line at California, you will find this small and quaint Mexican joint. There is nothing out of the ordinary on the menu and prices are average. But I found the food to be quite good. The tacos I had were on street shells, so a little smaller than usual, but everything tasted very good. I will definately return!

I've been here a couple of times and it never disappoints. I always make sure to bring my boyfriend when he visits from Dallas because you get a lot of food for the price and it taste amazingly authentic.

I ordered a steak torta with everything on it. This is a very easy meal and almost impossible to mess up. Bread should be soft and slightly toasty inside. The bread was rock hard and ingredients were stale and falling everywhere. Horrible. I'm also white so that's saying a lot. Never again.

I heard the place has good food, I tried them 2day. The taco was good. But $1 for cheese and $1 for sour cream is a bit ridiculous. My 1st and last time buying 1 taco for $5. ($4.39) to be exact. 🙄 I’m still hungry. 😩

The spot is great and broad, the menu was delightful and the prices were very economical. quick, efficient service and very amiable waiters. Will definitely recommend this spot.

One of the absolute best places for fast, cheap, and good tacos. Come on Taco Tuesday for $1.50 carnitas tacos... absolutely unbeatable. Or come any time, because their everyday prices are more than fair.

i went to pick up some food today and i was waiting for 5 minutes my order inside and i can see how the people whos work and prapare the food don't use any gloves and face masc .

The best - a neighborhood icon. Support this restaurant whenever possible Chicago, we need Moran to survive the shut down. Best tortilla soup in the city and warmest, friendliest staff.

Great Taco Tuesday special and great service. Tacos are very good. The dining room is small so you may have to wait for a table but they usually turn over fast, a lot of people seemed to be ordering to go too.

My new favorite Mexican place!!! Thank God we have this place in the hood and not an overrated, overpriced Chipotle. My son loved the rice and beans and I loved the burrito al Pastor with added guac (just 50 cents extra). AWESOME food and great service.

I LOVE the place but all I ever get is the veggie nachos!

The best! El mejor! I went in on an insanely busy Tuesday and waited less than 10 minutes for a carry out order. I accidentally walked out without my chips and the manager ran after me down the sidewalk to make sure I didn’t leave them! The staff is so kind and the salsa is SO spicy 😋

Great service, great food and very welcoming environment. My husband and I eat here quite a bit and highly recommend it! Usually we dine in but as of late, we've been ordering takeout and are happy to report it's just as good at home and always hot. Do yourself a favor and give it a try! Prices are very fair.

Best bang for your buck! Also really fast service. The waitress was amazing, she got our order taken and back to us in less then 5 minutes. It was busy being Tuesday at dinner time and she was phenomenal!

Came from Toronto and was looking for some good grub after a very long drive. We decided to go and get some tacos. I didn’t know what to expect; however, the tacos did not disappoint. Very authentic. Exactly how I envision tacos to be. Delicious 🌮. You also get free nachos with salsa when you arrive. 4 tacos only cost us 8.69, what a deal! Highly recommend this place.

My go to spot for years. Everyone who works here is so nice and attentive. Food is always good. A few of the hits are the bistec a la mexicana and the stuffed peppers.

This is my absolute favorite taco spot in Chicago. I used to walk up here when i lived on logan years ago. Now have to drive from river north but it is well worth it. Tacos are outstanding. Cute little place. I normally have a beer while i wait for my order as they have a few tables. I promise you’ll love it. There are a lot of taco 🌮 places but Morans is the OG.. A+++

This place has great steak! No matter what you decide to get it in, it’s cut and seasoned well. Always consistent. I love getting their steak tacos. Let me not forget to mention they have great cafe con leche. Often times I ask them to add the Abuelita chocolate and cinnamon and it’s makes it so delicious. They are very fast with their service.

Tacqueria Moran was wonderful. Both the steak and lengua tacos were extremely flavorful, with the meat being very tender and juicy. The guacamole was freshly made and not only creamy but fragrant. I definitely over ordered everything (+ an amazing horchata) and the bill came down to about $15 — it's definitely an amazing bang for the buck! The servers were lovely as well :) felt very homey!
